Johnathan Acosta has spent 11 years in the field as a Cardiac Sonographer. He began his journey as an educator within the hospital system 4 years into his career and has continued ever since.
With 7 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in a Trauma 1 Hospital, John knows the pressures and demands of the job firsthand. Creating a top-tier training program for future Cardiac Sonographers is his way of giving back.
John is an outdoor enthusiast with a beautiful family of 5, and 3 dogs. From early on, he learned to operate by the mantra, “How you do anything is how you do everything,” and he lives by those words every day—as a husband, a father, and an instructor.
John has designed the CVI program to focus on quality over quantity. Not all students will make it through the program, but the ones who do will have the skills to provide high quality exams with precision images. The ideal CVI Academy student has grit, perseverance, and is willing to treat every patient as a member of their own family. They follow the CVI motto: “Every Image, Every Patient, Every Time.”
In addition, he saves hospitals millions of dollars through the accelerated CVI program that allows their current employees to be trained on site. Students receive their Cardiac Sonographer’s License within 9 months. John’s biggest reward is hearing from hospital administrators and students what a difference CVI has made in their lives.
